Gabby Willam’s Disappointed After Chicago Sky’s Playoff Elimination

Chicago Sky is eliminated in the first round of the WNBA playoffs after Connecticut Sun defeats them 94-81. 

After the neck and neck elimination game Chicago Sky’s power forward, Gabby Willams says “I am not ready to go, I’m not packed, they are kicking us out in under twenty-four hours, and I’m just not ready to leave.”

This season has been an emotional one for players after being shortened to 22 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans have not been allowed in and players have been stuck inside “bubbles” away from their families. 

Not to forget that players also had to return to this season following the death of George Floyd and anti-racism protests that swept the streets after. To say this season was tough for players, would be an understatement.
