About Me

Hello, Faculty of Communication and Design, my name is Aru. Welcome to my blog. You may be wondering why it is called “That’s All She Wrote.” That is because I believe in the importance of speaking on significant ideas but in a concise way. This is the place where you can expect to find my work for classes JRN 103 and JRN 104. JRN 103 assignments can be found under the “Work Samples” category, while JRN 104 assignments can be found under the “J-Blog” category. If you are interested in world issues, human rights or history, fear not; I have a blog for that too! That blog is called The Daily Tea and its main purpose is to shed light on important, but severe issues that plague society. Writing is something that really motivates me and I like learning about new, different things. This was what drove me to write for my high school newspaper called RHSS Stormchaser, which can also be found online. Speaking of which, the platform that I use for access to my information is online. This is for the reason that online content is vastly available to a majority to people and because there is no limit for how much can be written. This is exactly what makes it different from social media, as any story we view on social media is never the full story. In fact, to be a good journalist, I would say that it’s so important to always look at more than just one side of the story. Gather as many perspectives as you can and then form an opinion. Good journalism is always credible, well thought out and most importantly, relatable. (And if you can, entertaining.)
